El
verano se pasó volando y después de los días de asueto el Busy Bee empezó de
nuevo, ahora ya oficialmente instalado en la clase senior, aprendiendo muchas
cosas y haciendo deberes. Por ahora
estoy aprendiendo a escribir, a contar y a pronunciar.
The summer went by quickly and after the days of relax the
Busy Bee started again, now officially established in the senior class,
learning new things and even doing homework. For now I’m learning to write,
count and pronounce.
No sólo
estoy aprendiendo cosas de escribir, pero también estoy intentando mejorar mis
habilidades musicales en la clase de piano. Por ahora estamos aprendiendo
ritmos y el nombre de las teclas. Mamá dice que parece que no me entero, pero
sí que estoy avanzando y además me gusta.
I’m not only learning writing things, but also trying to
improve my musical abilities in piano lessons. For now we are learning rhythms
and the names of the keys. Mommy says that it looks as though I don’t get it,
but I’m actually making progress and I indeed like it.
Aunque
lo que me gusta de verdad son las clases de natación. Al principio me dio un poco
de miedo, pero me lo pasé tan bien en verano en la piscina y en el lago que
tenía que intentarlo. Por ahora todavía necesito el gusano, pero ya meto la
cabeza en el agua y me gustar saltar desde el borde.
Although what I really like are swimming lessons. In the
beginning I was a bit scared, but I had such a good time this summer in the
swimming pool and in the lake that I have to try it. I still need the noodle
but I already swim with my head under the water and I like to jump in.
El otoño es una buena época para ir a visitar animales, sobre todo si hace bueno
como el día que fuimos al zoo con Luca y Claudia, ya que los animales están
contentos y los árboles con hojas de muchos colores.
The fall is a good time to visit animals, especially if the
weather cooperates, like the day we went to the zoo with Luca and Claudia,
because the animals are happy and the trees have leaves of different colours.
Luca,
Claudia y Clyde también vinieron a casa este año a celebrar Halloween, como el
año anterior. Parece que nuestra calle es buena para hacer truco o trato y lo
cierto es que acumulamos tantos dulces que aún no hemos podido acabar con
todos.
Luca, Claudia y Clyde also came home this year to celebrate
Halloween, like last year. It looks like our street is a good one for
trick-or-treating and the truth is that we piled us so much candy that we have
not been able to eat them all.
En
noviembre celebramos el cumpleaños de Avril. Fue en Zooland, que es un salón de
juegos para niños que queda cerca de casa y nos lo pasamos en grande jugando
con este juego de tirar pelotas.
In November we celebrated Avril’s birthday. It was in
Zooland, which is an indoor playground close to home where we had a great time
playing this dumping balls game.
Una de
las cosas que más me gusta hacer cuando estamos en casa es ayudar en la cocina.
Por un lado me interesa saber cómo se hacen las cosas: el arroz, los huevos
revueltos, las patatas fritas, las tartas… Pero por otro también me he dado
cuenta de que cuando te acercas a la cocina algo rico puedes pescar. Eso no se
lo dije a Santa Claus cuando le pedí mi regalo de Navidad.
One the things I like the most when we are at home is to
help in the kitchen. On one side I like to learn how things are cooked: rice,
scrambled eggs, French fries, pies … But on the other one I have also realized
that when you get close to the kitchen you can fish something yummy. I didn’t
tell Santa Claus that though when I sent him a letter to ask for my Christmas present.
Aunque
el regalo de verdad es que ya han terminado de arreglar nuestra casa, donde por
primera vez tengo un cuarto para mí solo.
Even though the best present is that they have already
finished fixing our house, where for the first time I will have a bedroom for
me alone.
